Hey all!

August 6th is quickly approaching and the celebration of horror filmmaking from the womb to the tomb is creeping up like a post-apocalyptic zombie with the rare ability to run.

We have a 4 hour program, so if you’re busy listening to ancient burial right cantations as the evening begins, fret not young warrior. The full festival program is listed out in the menu on the right side of our homepage…it’s in the direction of this crudely pointed typographical arrow —>

Justin Johnson who directed Zombie Girl: The Movie will be in attendance for a Q&A about anything and everything to do with compiling  such an obscure behind-the-scenes feature that rises to the occasion of being it’s own awesome film.

There’s also a group of shadow-performers who have been taking Bloor Cinema by storm with their theatre-like antics that bring “Repo! The Genetic Opera” to life like you’ve never seen it before! Catch a behind the scenes glimps into the Genetic antics of The Shadow Cats in a short documentary on the big screen.

We’ll see you dead…I mean ‘there!’ WE’LL SEE YOU THERE!!

Hey everyone!

The Toronto Scream Fest is proud announce the following guests will be appearing at the festival - Dion Conflict, Members from Toronto’s own The Shadow Cats and
John Baxter, Paul Stachniak, Ryan Doyle & Graham Sheppard from theoffline.com
Below you will find information about each guest and links to their sites. Keep checking back for updates of more exciting guests!

The Shadow Cats are a group formed to “shadow” live on stage, a re-creation of the film Repo! The Genetic Opera. Performing at this years Fringe Festival and Polaris Festival, things are starting to really take off for this group of young performers. Check out their official site here - www.reposhadowcats.com and add them on twitter here - http://twitter.com/reposhadowcats.

The web-zine, always current and entertaining theoffline.com will add all the comedy this festival can handle! Started by Sheridan Media Arts grads as a way to post their work, this site has grown to a strong online community of fans and film makers alike. The site not only does short films but also music and movie reviews, podcasts, interviews with musicians like Thrice and tons more. They just finished a fantastically funny episode of the new series “whatever.” which you can check out here - http://tinyurl.com/mqvqvz. Their official site is theoffline.com. You can add them on facebook here - http://tinyurl.com/l8vjrg and check them out on twitter here - http://twitter.com/theoffline.

I met Dion at this years Shock and Awe that he put on at The Fox Theatre. His passion for finding and then subsequently screening un-heard of or hard to find film gems was apparent to me right off the bat. Traveling across the globe, Dion shows films that sometimes have not screened in decades and has an impressive collection of film prints. Check out more information on Dion and his events at www.dionconflict.com
